A recent healthcare photoshoot undertaken with professional models and staff at the New Victoria Hospital. The shoot consisted of producing assets for the hospital marketing and website, as well as capturing the current health and safety measures being implemented to protect patients and visitors from the COVID-19 virus. Current virus protections were in place to protect all those involved in the shoot and no photography took place on wards where real patients were being treated. Masks were worn by all behind the scenes and a 2 meter distance was maintained.
This was quite a complex environment to shoot in while wearing PPE and adhering to the protections in place. It went very smoothly and despite my worry that wearing a face mask would prevent me from communicating effectively, I found this was not a problem. Post processing involved removing wires and replacing some distracting colours as well as generally tidying up the image of stray hair etc.
