London Leadership portrait for Wipro’s new CEO
Recently I photographed a series of corporate leadership portraits at the London headquarters of Wipro, creating imagery for press and corporate communications.
While much of the assignment involved other complex lighting set-ups and environmental photography throughout the workspace, one of my favourite corporate portrait images from the day came from a far simpler approach.
The Value of Simplicity in Corporate Portrait Photography
In corporate photography there can sometimes be a temptation to overcomplicate things with elaborate lighting, large productions, or excessive direction. Yet often the most engaging corporate portraits and executive headshots come from stripping everything back and focusing on the person in front of the camera.
This executive headshot was photographed entirely using available daylight within the London office environment. No additional lighting was needed. The portrait session itself took less than 10 minutes from start to finish not including intial setup and site recce.
That simplicity helped create a professional corporate portrait that felt natural, confident, and authentic.
Creating Relaxed Corporate Headshots Quickly
When photographing senior leadership teams, time is often limited. Executives may only have a short window available between meetings, interviews, or presentations. In these situations, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere quickly becomes just as important as the technical side of photography.
My approach to corporate portrait and headshot photography is always focused on helping the subject feel comfortable as quickly as possible. A relaxed conversation, clear direction, and an efficient workflow allow people to settle into the process naturally without feeling overly posed or self conscious.
In this case, that approach helped us work quickly while still producing a professional London corporate headshot with warmth, confidence, and personality, while also freeing up CEO Katya to continue with her busy schedule that day.
Fast Turnaround for Corporate PR and Communications
The final portrait image was edited and delivered on the same day for use in an upcoming press release. Fast turnaround is often essential for corporate communications teams, especially when photography is tied to announcements, media coverage, or internal campaigns.
Having an efficient shooting and post production workflow means clients can receive high quality corporate headshots and portrait photography without unnecessary delays.

Assignments like this are a good reminder that successful corporate portrait photography is not always about complexity. Sometimes the strongest corporate headshots come from a simple approach, good light, and creating a genuine connection with the person being photographed.
