While passing Guildford Crematorium recently, I finally took the opportunity to photograph this beautifully designed space, something I had wanted to do for quite some time.
Designed by Haverstock Architects, the crematorium blends calmness, clarity, and sensitivity in a way that feels respectful to its purpose. The thoughtful use of materials brick, timber, and zinc, the quiet strength of the colonnades, and the soft transitions between spaces create a place for reflection that is both moving and serene.
The surrounding landscaping, with its mature trees and carefully planted memorial gardens, enhance the calm, reflective atmosphere.
