Family & Children Portraits

As well as shooting corporate commercial projects in Cambridge and beyond. I get the opportunity to photograph family portraits. This can be great fun for me and hopefully the recipient families. Working without the pressure of a commercial shoot and the weight of masses of equipment I can often photograph with just the available light. Making for relaxed and natural images. Below are examples of some wonderful families from Bristol and Cambridge. More can be seen here Family and Children’s portraits

CAMSAR-Cambridge Search & Rescue Photography

Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue service training day – All images taken illustrate the service in action and methods of search and rescue for the CAMSAR website and other publicity. It was a very wet start to the day with continual rain making the protection of the camera and lens a priority as well creating well composed images. Everyone was in good humour and seemed not to mind being outside in the continual rain. Much of the day was spent following the various training activities culminating in one of the team groups finding a volunteer missing person. I documented event as they happened and also set up and posed key images.

Alex Photographs Alan Johnson MP’s Visit to Royal Brompton NHS Trust Hospital

Alan Johnson MP talking to a patient at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust Hospital, London. The communications office at the Royal Brompton very kindly booked me to take photographs of Alan Johnson’s visit to the asthma clinic at the Royal Brompton Hospital in June 2009. The visit was well organised and many images were captured of staff and patients talking to the secretary of state.
